Kat Von D : Lock-it Powder Foundation ✿REVIEW✿

Hello, kittens and welcome to Dripdrip! ♡
Today I'll be reviewing the popular Kat Von D Lock-it Powder Foundation in the shade Medium 57. I'm a huge sucker for this brand, not only for how detailed and beautiful the packaging is but because their products are all Cruelty-Free and Vegan! Oh, and they're really good quality too.

This product retails for $34 USD and you can find it over at Kat Von D Beauty and Sephora. Their website states that this product "...stays smooth and matte no matter what for a full 24 hours."

Powders are amazing. They minimise pores, they set the foundation and give coverage too!
It's blendable and very buildable, However,  if you want to build it's coverage make sure to use a setting spray afterwards so your face doesn't look too cakey from all the powder. It does an amazing job keeping the oils at bay and controlling sweat a bit. So, If you have oily skin this product is going to be your everyday staple.

I don't recommend you to buy this product online because it does run a bit dark. Many powders lean toward the translucent but this one is a bit more opaque. Which could be both a good thing or a bad thing depending on what you're looking for. Make sure to swatch and test before purchasing. 

Personally, I use this over foundation but you can use this on its own. let's face it, the compact is pretty rad, too. I wish Kat Von D would sell refill for this too since it's a bit pricey and getting rid of such a big compact would be such a huge waste.

The compact does bring a sponge but I personally think it's trash. If you're using it over foundation it's just going to mess your foundation all up! To be honest, I recommend using this with a Powder brush for best results!

Here's how the powder looks over the Fenty Foundation! It does an amazing job at making my texture skin looks flawless and poreless.
