Disclaimer: I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.
I want to thank Influenster for sending me one of Kat Von D's newest Studded Kiss Crème Lipstick in the shade Lolita II to try out! Not only is this a beautiful shade that flatters any skin color, it's also one of my personal favorite shades from her collection; I already own the liquid lipstick version of it! Receiving this was a huge win for me.
Originally created in 2014, this collection includes 40 shades in 3 finishes (satin-matte, glimmer and metallic). This is basically a revamp and relaunch of their original lipsticks with a creamier (and vegan!) finish. It retails for $19 on their website and Sephora!
★ Pigmentation/Application/Texture- All of Kat's lipsticks get a 10 out of 10 for pigmentation! I've never come across one that hasn't lived up to its claims. This one isn't the exception. This lipstick pretty much covers my entire lips with one swipe, not streaky at all. I owned their older version of Go-go and the difference between formula is just amazing. The previous one was very grainy while this one is so smooth to the touch! Even while swatching I was impressed. It gives your lips a comfortable non-drying feeling. Their website claims that it's 'Made with smooth spherical pigments and lip-nourishing ingredients.'
★ Wear Time- This lipstick isn't very lasting when you compare it to her liquid lipsticks. However, considering the fact that it's a cream lipstick I have to admit that it will last a decent amount of time. It's not food, or drink proof but it'll fade in a flattering way. Just remember to bring this lipstick with you! If you're just going to be out for a while you're probably good to go with this!
★ Packaging- It’s nice and sturdy, has a good click, and that studded texture is a win for me. KVD can do no wrong with this packaging. I really hate when other lipsticks have text on the outside of the 'bottle' since it always wears off. Also, the logo on the lipstick bullet itself is definitely one of those little details that steps ups everything for me.
The shade looks so lovely on you. I haven't tried her liquid lipsticks but I did had a cream one and I was so sad on how streaky it was also if I rubbed my lips the color would peel off bit I would definetly try again seeing how nice this is.Thanks for this review ♡
